About me

I’m Lina. I’m a licensed psychologist and psychoanalytic psychotherapist.
What that means is that my desire to understand the human mind and how we relate to one another has taken me into deep and sustained training in the mental field.

I can’t say I always knew this is what I wanted to do professionally. I realized I wanted to be a therapist while studying architecture. I was first drawn to questions of space, structure, and movement, and over time those questions turned inward. I have been a stranger to my own mind and desires, and I found my way through with curiosity, patience, and the help of others. With time, I learned to let myself be surprised by the workings of my own mind, and to cultivate that same curiosity and patience for the processes of others.

I have also surprised myself by where life has taken me. I always knew I wanted to travel, but I could not have imagined how deeply living across cultures would shape me. I was born in Colombia, studied and lived in Spain for ten years, and have been living in Norway since 2024. A life abroad has brought hardships and losses, but also great learning, gifts, and moments of unexpected beauty.

Because I have experienced firsthand how much life can surprise us, I am deeply committed to accompanying others on their paths. I find great meaning in the exchange that happens when minds come together in supporting one another.

A little bit more

I recently found a new hobby: embroidery. I like the slowness of it and how something takes shape stitch by stitch.

When I travel, I’m drawn to local food markets. I like seeing day-to-day life and trying what’s typical in each place.

I enjoy movies based on true events.

I like listening to memoirs as audiobooks, but I prefer reading novels, so my imagination can build the characters.

A good weekend for me is one where I feel connected to the people I love and discover a new place.

Living in different cultures, I’ve learned to think of home as something that can move. Keeping my roots while staying open has been important for me, and I’ve learned that my culture can travel with me through music, food, dance, films, and the playlists I’ve built over the years, shaped by the people and places I’ve met.

it should look like the future you are dreaming.”
